ISD 196 Nordic Ski
Who we are
The ISD 196 Nordic Ski Team is composed of students from all ISD 196 high schools - Apple Valley, Eagan, Eastview, Rosemount, School of Environmental Studies - as well as the district middle schools - Black Hawk, Dakota Hills, Falcon Ridge, Rosemount, Scott Highlands, Valley. ALL BOYS AND GIRLS IN GRADES 6 - 12 are welcome.
The season runs mid-November through mid-February.

Season start!
Woot! The 2024/2025 Nordic season starts on Monday, November 11th. Go to Team Enrollment for next steps to register (7th - 12th graders) and enroll your skier through TeamSnap (6th - 12th graders).
Skier/Parent Information Meeting
ALL returning and prospective skiers and parents should attend this meeting.
Date: Sunday, October 27th, 2024
Location: Eastview High School
Times + Rooms:
6 p.m. - 7 p.m. C250: NEW skiers + parents
7 p.m. - 8 p.m. C250: ALL skiers
7 p.m. - 8 p.m. C350: ALL parents
Obtaining Nordic equipment
See Equipment for info about the gear required for Nordic. Depending on your skier's grade and years on the team, some equipment can be rented from the Booster Club and other equipment must be purchased. Learn more about the Ski Rental Program.
Purchase | Sign-ups for gear fitting at Finn Sisu
Coach Abery will meet with skiers and parents at Finn Sisu >> to guide the fitting process for purchasing gear. Please sign up for one of the coming evening 15-minute time slots for your skier.
Rent | Sign-ups for rental ski fitting
Fitting for rental skis will take place at Coach Abery's the weekend of November 23rd and 24th. Sign-ups will be available soon.
Carpooling
Are you interested in carpooling with other skier families in the 2024/2025 season? Let us know!
Separate channels in TeamSnap will be set up for each school's carpooling group to coordinate rides.
Team Merch store
We have a new team merchandise store, where skiers, coaches, and families are welcome to purchase team items, hosted by a St. Paul company, Branding Wearhouse >>.
The captains will select and add more items to the store ahead of the season start.
