Winged Feed & Seed

The Nordic team is partnering with Winged Feed & Seed >> to sell high-quality wild bird seed and suet — perfect for keeping our local birds happy and healthy all year round! Winged Feed & Seed, proudly owned by Eagan residents (and parents of students at both Dakota Hills and Eagan High School!), is thrilled to team up with us for this fundraiser.

Many of us have parents, grandparents, neighbors, or friends who enjoy feeding wild birds through every season. Help us reach our goal — and bring more wild birds to local backyards!

About the products

Frank’s Songbird Mix

This premium local blend is specially crafted for Minnesota’s songbirds and contains Golden Safflower, Black Oil Sunflower, Coarse Chip Sunflower, and Roasted Peanuts — with no filler seeds. That means less waste and more nutritious seed your birds will actually eat! Compared to big-box store mixes, Frank’s Songbird Mix >> offers higher quality, better value, and happier backyard birds.

This mix is sold in 10-pound, 25-pound, and 50-pound packages.

  • The Peanut Butter >> option is a favorite for many bird species.
  • The Hot Pepper >> option is perfect for those who want to feed the birds — but not the squirrels!

Suet cakes are sold individually or in cases of 12.

Grocery bagging at Cub

Individual fundraising opportunities allow skiers to earn money and offset the cost of the Nordic skiing season Booster Club dues.

There are several days scheduled at Cub grocery stores, where athletes may sign up to bag groceries. Shifts are two hours long, and four athletes are allowed to sign up for each shift. Each shift requires one parent volunteers.

Athletes should sign up for only one slot across the different days available, so that everyone who wants to has an opportunity to bag groceries. Should there be vacant spots remaining, the Booster Club will notify everyone of those opportunities.

Athletes will sign in upon starting and ending their shift. Athletes will introduce themselves on behalf of the ISD 196 Nordic Ski Team and offer to bag groceries for customers, and customers will make donations (we hope!). The day's donations will be added together, divided by the number of volunteering athletes, and distributed to the athletes by the Booster Club.

More information will be available to skiers that day.

Check the TeamSnap calendar to see the days and locations available! Varsity skiers: Be sure to schedule around your Saturday practices.
